Cultivating and executing flawless designs requires a talented and dedicated individual. Executing at this high level on numerous jobs simultaneously throughout the year requires a talented and dedicated team. A single designer can only accomplish so much on their own. There is a completely different skill set required to lead a team to act in unison towards a common goal. As a 32 year old design professional, I have successfully transitioned from a standalone designer to a design team leader consisting of two junior designers and a technician. Vision, creativity and attention to detail is still very much the driving force behind our success, but it could not be possible unless every member of the team understands their role and how it contributes to the final product. After attending this session, attendees will be equipped with the tools to effectively build and manage a team. From systems and procedures to how to get the client to buy in to the team concept, attendees will have concrete examples and documentation that will allow them to duplicate my success on their own.
