2019 WASTECON

Beyond 34: Recycling and Recovery for a New Economy (Room Room 121)

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Beyond 34: Recycling and Recovery for a New Economy focuses on increasing the U.S. recycling rate beyond its current 34% by applying its collaborative, data-driven model in communities across the United States. This session explores the model, delivers the results and lessons learned from its application in the Orlando region pilot, describes how the Foundation is scaling application of the model, and addresses how Arizona State University’s (ASU) technical analyses is helping communities develop their own long-term plans. Learn how to become a Beyond 34 community, using the Beyond 34 model as a blueprint for recycling.

SPECIAL NOTE:

This year, WASTECON brings you special "Discovery Series" sessions that — together— explore a topic in more details. Consider participating in the following sessions to take a deep dive into recycling.
