With a growing number of venue management professionals serving as faculty members at colleges and universities, our industry executives have found that teaching specific course content requires more than being a subject matter expert in the classroom. This session will highlight techniques and tools developed and successfully implemented by several IAVM colleagues who have had success as both industry executives and instructors. They will discuss how they have engaged their students with professional venue management experiences and while delivering the required material to meet academic course objectives.
