Biometric and identity technology have matured dramatically over the past 5 years. Commercialization, maturation, and mass adoption have led to new challenges. This session will provide an introduction to current issues surrounding biometrics and identity technology from the unique perspective of the private sector. We will cover common challenges facing stakeholders including increased industry competition, integration of identity/biometrics tech in the cloud and on mobile devices, privacy and civil rights concerns, security, and education.
