Stress can have a dramatic impact on behavior - it literally changes the structure and function of the brain. Understanding which dogs are most vulnerable to stress and how it impacts behavior is important for trainers, shelter/rescue workers and behavior consultants. This talk will explain what stress is, discuss the different types of stress and detail its impact on the brain and behavior at different points in development. It will also provide strategies for addressing stress.
