The APDT, CCPDT, and IAABC teamed up recently to create a joint standards of practice for professionals working with non-human animals—including those of us in the dog training field. One big piece of those joint standards of practice is the LIMA guidelines, which address methodology, competency, and more.
This presentation will discuss LIMA, including what professionals like you know and think about it. It will also go over examples of how you can follow LIMA guidelines in your practice as a dog trainer, and touch briefly on how to help clients understand why LIMA matters.
