Learning Experiences in Schools Only Work for Some Students (Room 103 A/B, WI Center)

All students are regular education students although some may have specialized instruction designed in their individualized education program. The full range of individual differences can be met with the Universal Design for Learning framework that predicts, in advance, where the environment and the learning experience will present barriers. Learn how to intentionally identify barriers to learning and how to design the conditions ALL students need to learn. They’ll explain the district’s UDL leadership team structure and purpose, how the teachers took a leadership role in implementing UDL, and how to use professional development time creatively.
