Staffing Roles and Responsibilities (Room 101 C/D, WI Center)

WASB Organizational Consultants work as partners with school districts to build and strengthen trust between school board members and administrators as they work to provide excellence in education. One helpful method is an assessment of the roles and responsibilities of staff utilizing a matrix developed specifically for school districts. This process includes a review and analysis of relevant board policies and employee handbooks, districtwide and detailed central office department organizational charts, and job descriptions as well as organizational structures and reporting relationships. We’ll outline the process, provide an overview of the matrix and discuss how it can be used to update staffing levels and position descriptions.
