Relationships Matter: A Strategic Approach to Integrating Social, Emotional and Academic Learning (Room 202 A/B, WI Center)

Social and emotional learning is a vital part of all learning and is critical to the systematic functioning of a diverse school community. Over the last two years, the Franklin Public School District has taken a collaborative and integrated approach to the cultivation of social-emotional learning competencies, ranging from classroom instruction to the establishment of multiple on-site mental health clinics. In this session, you will learn the key elements of this approach, lessons learned, and the barriers and celebrations encountered along the way.
