E38 - An Impossible Project? How Teamwork Can Make the Impossible Possible (Room Meeting Room 12)

In this session, follow the path of a community with a mission of affordability for its residents as leaders navigate a tough historic commission, strict zoning laws, and difficult finances during a campus expansion. Team members will describe how a commitment to collaboration, flexibility, and sheer will can facilitate creative zoning solutions and unconventional financial solutions in the construction of a new building. Panelists will focus on a case study of the Anna T. Jeanes Building at The Hickman in West Chester, Pa., a 125-year-old independent and personal care/assisted living community.
