An interactive presentation of a novel notation for multiplying rational numbers. The objective is to quickly teach the audience a new, superior method of multiplication and provide guidance, explanations, and supporting materials they can take with them and pass along. Subtopics are the new system’s several demonstrable advantages over the traditional format, which practically make the practitioner smarter. The individual advantages lend themselves well to quick examples, which will be demonstrated. The presentation consists of a 15-minute introduction via a PowerPoint presentation, followed by 5–10 minutes of questions, and 5–10 minutes of audience participation. The notation system is simple enough for anyone to understand and get the hang of in the participation segment. Everyone can follow along via printed materials provided, which they can take home. Ancillary topics include the review of several other interesting multiplication systems, including finger math, stick math, and matrix math.
