Amplifying Psychosocial Health and Safety (Room 26 AB)

Over the past two years, workers have indicated a decline in their mental health, which simultaneously affects their physical safety. Psychosocial factors are known to have a powerful impact on the work environment, the interactions between workers and the bottom line. This session will highlight six key psychosocial factors that, when addressed by EHS professionals, will transform the workplace. You’ll learn the psychosocial factors that affect the workplace, Maslow’s hierarchy of human needs and its implication for psychological health and safety, six psychosocial factors that are a launchpad for workplace transformation, and how to apply an approach to include and reduce psychosocial risks and elevate workplace culture.
