The National Association of Chemical Distributors was challenged to roll out a single sustainability platform to an association whose members have very different operational methods, as well as products, services and resources. NACD committed itself to create a new sustainability code that would be incorporated into in its NACD Responsible Distribution program, a third-party management system that’s a condition of association membership. During this session, we’ll discuss how NACD researched the issues and presented its findings and conclusion to its board, members and other parties. You’ll learn about NACD members’ creative approaches to sustainability, and how to get buy-in from various audiences and go through a vigorous industry review.
