Every seven seconds, an employee suffers a sprain/strain injury. These painful injuries can be life-altering, threaten employees’ livelihood, and drive up employer injury rates and medical costs. They also account for 25% of workers’ compensation costs and have caused an annual economic burden of $15.1 billion. Although approximately 68% of companies say they offer worksite programs aimed at reducing and mitigating sprains and strains, 50%-75% of employees don’t participate in these programs. In this session, we’ll talk about the obstacles to engagement, and learn motivating tools to increase engagement and reduce injury rates and costs.
