Tracks: Implementation and Operation
What is a controlling employer? What factors does OSHA consider when deciding an employer’s control over others? What if your company is the controlling employer on a construction project? This session will answer these questions and more. We’ll address what duty of care subcontractors are owed, your safety training and personal protective equipment responsibilities for site visitors, and which company’s safety rules govern on a project or an establishment with different trades and separate employers engaged in work. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of the often-litigated Multi-Employer Worksite Doctrine.
