Clif Bar – A Case Study in Incorporating Metal in Biophilic Design (Room Room 137)

12 Oct 22
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Tracks: Metal in Architecture

Biophilic design, renewable energy, and repurposed materials.  Only one of these brings the word “metal” to mind.  But, a recent office addition to an industrial building in Indianapolis, Indiana has proven that metal is associated strongly with all three. Join Principal Architect Dan Brueggert and Principal Designer Eric Knott of CSO as they present a case study on their design of a new workplace for Clif Bar.  With a heavy focus on biophilic design, community focused social spaces, and creatively bringing the outdoors in, CSO created a unique, multistory, multipurpose building

  • Discover how metal can be used in biophilic design
  • Learn how this project incorporated repurposed metal for various aspects of the project
