The phase composition of steel slag directly determined the direction and difficulty of its reuse. The basicity of steel slag was the main factor affecting its phase composition and content. In this paper, the phases of steel slags were analyzed by the scanning electron microscopy and showed mainly included calcium silicate phase, calcium ferrite phase, MgO-FeO phase and RO phase. Then the phase composition and content of steel slags with different basicity were calculated by FactSage thermodynamic software, and it was concluded that reducing the basicity of steel slag can improve the abrasion resistance and stability of steel slag in subsequent treatment and reusing.
