Lubrication & Hydraulics
With the dramatic increases in energy costs, fluid drives can provide some distinct advantages to conventional drive drain solutions since there is no mechanical connection between input and output shaft. Fluid drives provide light-load starting with less energy demand, and better, closer control at the desired operating speed. Fluid drives use hydrokinetic principles to transmit power from a prime power source to move a load by transmitting power smoothly and without shock, using a vortex of hydraulic oil. This technical presentation would introduce the advantage and potential savings of fluid drive technology for the iron and steel applications.
