In the present work, an analysis of the dephosphorizing efficiency of a standard mixture M1 and other five mixtures is proposed. In those mixtures, temperature and slag properties (mixing mass and CaO granulometry) were varied. Experiments were carried at a temperature of 1,400°C and simulations were performed in FactSage 7.2 and surface images of the crucible were analyzed through Quantikov 15.86. The standard mixture M1 yields better efficiency than the other variations proposed. The results corroborate the equation used to calculate the dephosphorizing factor (FDeP),
calculated to correlate slags thermodynamical properties and dephosphorization efficiency.
