This article will cover a generic review of the state-of-the-art ongoing OEM technologies in electric arc furnaces and the various efforts conducted to maximize the productivity, improve the process control, and reduce CO2 emissions and the energy needs. The article will finally shed some light on the auxiliary technologies that support process improvement and cost reduction in electric arc furnaces.
