Danieli Centro Combustion Hydrogen Burners: Effective Green Solutions for Reheating and Heat Treatment Furnaces (Room 407)

Danieli Centro Combustion (DCC) joins the global decarbonization efforts, focusing on reheating furnaces for long and flat products, heat treatment furnaces and strip processing lines. This is shown in the development of three HYDRO-series specialized families of burners for different furnaces, capable of operating with a mixture of natural gas and up to 100% hydrogen. Very low environmental impact and very high thermal efficiency are key features of these burners: CO2 emissions can be reduced to zero with full hydrogen combustion, and NOx emissions are kept to the same very low levels of natural gas combustion due to flameless technology.
