Additive Manufacturing has numerous benefits to complement current and age-old manufacturing methods to improve our way of life. One of the main challenges we see today in the industry is finding the right process to take it from ideation to implementation on a large scale. Thankfully, there is a 7-step proven process in identifying business cases and taking it through to producing quality parts and even certifying them. In no way is Additive Manufacturing the complete solution, just one of the many cogs in the system to revolutionizing and evolving the processes we have today. There may be many similarities in the various scenarios we see daily. However, as we evolve in our manufacturing processes and have a growing number of unique products, we can no longer stick to the cookie cutter solutions we once had before.
