Getting Started in Industrial Robotics
Industrial Robots are the heart of Lean Manufacturing and are vital to the current vibrant manufacturing economy in North America. The presentation is an introduction to the Industrial Robotics or Flexible Automation Industry. We will explore Robot Based Automation Systems to include how the industry functions, why to choose robot-based automation, principles of system integration, general principles of robot technology, the business case for automating and calculating ROI plus the common mistakes made in Robot Integration. The attendees will learn through discussion and evaluating system photos and videos illustrating various robotic based flexible automation systems.

Before You Spend Money on Your First Robot, Here is What You Need to Know
We will start by explaining some of the basic terminology in robotics, from joints to EOAT. We will also discuss the difference between Robot and Cobot, and review and identify safety concerns. We explain the criticality of knowing which processes or operations are ideal for robotics. We will layout the process of how to develop a project plan, from cost estimation, selecting the right partners, implementation, operation, and maintenance. We will provide an example of cost justification for a robot automation scenario. We will also provide you with a solid understanding of robot safety. You will leave with an understanding of how to start your journey as well as making it successful and ensuring a ROI.

Collaborative Robotics - How Cobots & Autonomous Mobile Robots are Changing the Factory
People-centric technology investments are becoming an important tool for manufacturers to overcome skilled labor challenges. With re-deployable, productivity-boosting collaborative automation technologies, manufacturers are finding new ways to define return on investment both financially & in their workforce engagement by increasing productivity, boosting consistency, and empowering frontline workers. Utilizing real world case studies, we will cover: cobots, AMRs, safety, applications, industries and why manufacturers large & small are making collaborative robotics investment.
