Fabricating Interest in Technology at Work
Manufacturers are inundated constantly with information about new technologies, but often fail to sell the value internally. This results in companies being slow to adopt many things that would drastically improve how they operate. This session will give basic strategies to these professionals, allowing them to cut through the noise and technical jargon to communicate the value of technology effectively and more easily bring it into their organizations.

Preparing Your Shop for Advanced Sheet Metal Manufacturing
The goal of the session is to promote new ideas for the average sheet metal shop to allow them to move seamlessly into advanced sheet metal production. We’ll start with the average shop, taking customer drawings and flat patterns, making individual programs, managing the data flow manually with move tickets and routers, then show the preparation needed to develop into the facility of the future. Topics include; Is my MRP/ERP capable of creating the information needed. What should be considered when moving to 3D modeling for Sheet Metal. 3D modeling metal data and its advantages. Coding; how can having programming skills in house improve what we do from day to day. New machines have Industry 4.0 but how can I really connect to them and leverage it. How can this technology allow me to reduce the time taken from order to invoice.
