Staff Wellness: Fostering Resilience
In response to the increased behavior challenges in schools post-pandemic, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) launched Reframing Behavior™, a groundbreaking schoolwide training program designed for all education staff. This lecture delves into the neuroscience behind all behavior, shifting the perspective from viewing behavior as conscious and intentional to understanding it as driven by the brain and nervous system. Attendees will gain practical, evidence-based strategies to enhance classroom dynamics, insights into the "why" behind behaviors, and how stress can trigger fight, flight, or freeze responses. Reframing Behavior equips educators with simple, practical practices for their own self-awareness and emotional regulation, which supports their mental wellbeing and fosters resilience. Reframing Behavior not only gives educators skills needed to create safe learning environments where all students can thrive but also tools to enhance their own mental health and resilience.
