In this session, we’ll explore Toyota’s safety journey, grounded in its core philosophy of respect for people and continuous improvement. We’ll highlight the evolution from a compliance-driven approach to a more mature safety culture focused on frontline engagement, leadership accountability, and systems thinking, along with the key programs and practices that support it. The session will also examine how Toyota measures and advances safety culture over time, and how data and technology are intentionally applied to enhance visibility, standardize processes, and reinforce desired behaviors across the organization. Attendees will gain insight into how Toyota has progressed from siloed, manual data toward more connected, accessible insights, leveraging integrated systems, improved data governance, and enterprise-wide reporting to enable more proactive decision-making and continuous improvement at scale.
