This session will detail the process for developing an environmental, health, safety and security strategy to support the business strategy. You’ll learn how to synthesize the business strategy and vision – and connect the dots between internal and external data to inform a “current state” assessment and choosing a transformational approach to get an organization to a “future state.” You’ll hear about the development of a simple, compelling and motivating vision for communicating a three-year “strategy on a page”with metrics and accountabilities, using a “sunray chart” as a template. You’ll experience the journey of a $4 billion manufacturer that developed a clear vision (going from “absence of injuries and illness” to “control of risk”), built stakeholder engagement and defined what “great” looks like.
