What does it take to move a Portrait of a Graduate from vision to reality? This session explores Wisconsin’s Portrait of a Graduate framework and the systems-level shifts needed to ensure all learners develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary for success in school, career and community life. Participants will examine Wisconsin's Portrait of a Graduate development process, review national research and emerging practices in competency-based education, and consider how personalized pathways, responsive pacing, student agency, timely and differentiated support, and meaningful assessment can transform learning experiences for students. Through testimonials, district showcases and practical implementation resources, participants will explore actionable entry points for advancing learner-centered systems within their local contexts.
