How do we shape the future of Wisconsin education while addressing the critical need for educator retention today? The answer lies in the Wisconsin Teacher Voice and Leadership Framework. This session introduces a new statewide framework designed to inspire and support school leaders in creating the conditions where teacher voice is a meaningful part of decision-making. Participants will explore the six spheres of teacher influence—Self, Students, Peers, Families, Community and the Profession—and learn how a shift from "command and control" to "trust and inspiration" can transform school culture. Grounded in the theory of action that empowered teachers are more likely to stay in the profession, this framework provides a road map for improving student outcomes through distributed leadership and teacher agency.
