Emerging Leaders Think Tank Forum: The Human Interoperability Gap: Building Trust and Talent Across Pacific Command (Room Honolulu II/III)

Technology can connect platforms, networks, and data, but effective interoperability ultimately depends on people. The Indo-Pacific requires a skilled, regionally informed workforce capable of building trust and operating across military services, government agencies, industry, academia, local communities, and allied and partner nations.

This interactive think tank forum will bring Emerging Leaders together with senior subject-matter experts to examine the human barriers affecting interoperability and workforce readiness across the region.

The forum will examine challenges such as workforce shortages, geographic isolation, high living costs, limited career pathways, cultural differences, inconsistent terminology, security and information-sharing restrictions, and insufficient opportunities to build relationships before a crisis occurs.

In the Pacific Command interoperability begins with trusted relationships and depends on a skilled, regionally informed workforce capable of sustaining them. Technology connects systems; people connect missions.
