Purpose is not one’s job; it is their calling. The purpose of Venue Managers and their associates is critical and crucial to the advancement of our communities.
In this presentation, Sociologist, best-selling author and award-winning lecturer, Bertice Berry, PhD., will discuss the profound importance of our associates to society at large.
“Humans become human when they come together to experience sports, the arts, and humanities,” Berry says. “Venue Managers are the keepers of our humanity.”
Berry will discuss the fact that in order for our communities, to heal, grow, and evolve, Venue Managers must care for themselves and one another. Because very few know or understand the multiple roles and hats that a venue manager plays and wears, it is crucial that VMs and their associates empower first themselves and then others about the multitude of jobs and roles. Because VM’s tend to be extremely humble about what they do, it is necessary for them to become courageous advocates of themselves and their profession.
Berry will discuss and redefine diversity as a necessary ingredient for achieving our ultimate purpose.
Using her unique blend of humor and story-telling based in research and facts (Berry actually taught Statistics,) this presentation will feel more like an experience; one that puts YOU at Center Stage.
