Created in 1996, Says You! is a hugely popular public radio game show “of bluff and bluster, words and whimsy.” Craftier than Wait Wait... Don’t Tell Me!, more unpredictable than Ask Me Another, and longer than most tests of the Emergency Broadcast System, the show is taped before live audiences nationwide, at events dubbed “parties for smarties” by Time magazine. Head writer and occasional host Dave Zobel draws aside the curtain for a backstage peek at the show’s origins, its history, and its six wisecracking, fast-thinking panelists, who spend an hour each week trying to outdo one another in punnery and cleverness ... while only occasionally getting around to giving actual answers.
