Description: As the wind industry matures, the global supply chain is aligning to establish stronger quality assurance methodologies from design to end user. Inspired by the APQP initiative that was started in the early 1990’s in the automotive industry and that has now become a demonstrated global standard, APQP4Wind is a new coalition of major OEMs and suppliers developed over the last few years, focused on providing standardized quality processes and tools for the overall improvement of the wind industry global supply chain. This panel, with representation from the major stakeholders, including Vestas, SGRE and GE, will show how this initiative will help drive lower LCOE while reducing risks.
