Directed Vapor Technologies and its subsidiary, LEAF, are using a high throughput, gas jet-assisted, vapor deposition technique for the continuous application of conductive layers onto fine denier, multi-filament fiber tows to result in durable, composite yarns that are well suited for high performance electronic textile applications. The properties and applications of the resulting yarns will be discussed.
