The officer in the right seat will determine from the onset the success or failure of the incident. “As the first line goes, so goes the call” is absolutely true when you consider the initial decisions the first-due officer makes–whether it’s choosing the right line and getting it to the right place or deciding the mode of attack to determine when victims come before fire attack. Live fire video and audio illustrate examples of good decisions and the consequences of the bad ones. From walking through the initial size-up to establishing predetermined roles, this workhop offers techniques that work to increase effectiveness and efficiency on the fire scene.
