The focus is on creating a learning culture at every level of the organization. Topics include defining fire service and fire training success, positioning fire companies for success and survival using proven company-level training methods, coaching and mentoring principles and practices, defining training needs using the Six Rs model, and making training personal. Training techniques used in various sizes and types of fire departments will be introduced, and attendees will be encouraged to use them to develop or enhance the training programs in their departments.
