TThe commercial building fire is a lower frequency event for the American fire service compared to the residential building fire, yet the annual number of line-of-duty-deaths (LODDs) in this type of structure has remained consistent each year. The lack of a decline in injuries and LODDs is caused by numerous factors including complacency, implementing residential tactics at a commercial building fire, tackling large open areas for search, and the demand for larger fire flow to fight the fire. This dynamic and interactive program address 25 critical firefighting concerns common to these deadly buildings. Not only will the instructors address the 25 most common problems, but they will also give numerous tips and drills you can implement immediately to change the trend. The 25 points cover combat readiness, mastering the environment, engine operations, ladder operations, and command and control.
