The focus is on the core competences of lifting, spreading, lowering, forcing, and rescuing in various emergency events: lift and crib a dumpster to gain access below, lower an injured firefighter using a stokes basket and harness, stabilize a suspended elevator, and remove a victim from a storefront auto accident. These scenarios require a solid knowledge of hydraulic tools, cribbing principles, air bags, ropes, forcible entry, and teamwork. You must know the tools and think on the fly. You will be challenged mentally and physically.
