Rescue and Squad Company Live Fire Operations in a Private Dwelling

This rescue and squad company class consists of the following stations: Station 1 is the primary search of a fire floor as an engine company is placing the fire under control. Station 2 is controlling the room with a 2½-gallon water can as a company searches from the fire area and the fire floor. Station 3 is vent-enter-search--companies vent a window and then search above the fire while controlling the vent point by closing the door to the room being searched. Station 4 has companies stretch a line to control a basement fire; emphasis is on the importance of a backup line being stretched to protect the egress of the company attacking the fire.
