REWITEC is a medium-sized business that develops an innovative nano- and micro-particle based surface treatment technology. This technology uses lubricants as a carrier for a protective and repairing silicon coating in gears, bearings, combustion engines in industry sectors like wind, shipping, steel, mining and automotive worldwide. Through applying the products, gearboxes and bearings can run better with reduced friction, less temperature and great reliability and durability due to reduced abrasion and wear. The active components of the coating concentrates are in a constant upgrading process in close cooperation with science and practice for years, like, with the Universities Mannheim, Giessen and Bochum. The abrasion and the wear of tribological systems like bearings, gearboxes and combustion engines and similar units is a key issue when it comes to service life and sustainable functionality. Scientific studies and tests like the 2-Disc Assembly Rolling Wear Test, False-Brinelling / SNR-Test or FE-8 Test demonstrate the effectiveness of REWITEC products and show the remarkable changes in the application. The innovative technology increases reliability and extends system lifetime by permanently reducing surface roughness, friction, temperature, and wear.
