Wind energy fills a growing portion of our nations energy needs. MET towers are instrumental to the progress of the industry as result of the meteorological instruments they support. Within this presentation, we plan to address wind resource and energy assessment concerns and proposed solutions. We will cover scientific developments and new studies that support the continuation of these measuring needs and techniques. In addition to the following, we will also discuss current and future techniques related to wind energy measurements via MET tower measurements. Specifically, we will address: - Turnkey temporary and permanent MET tower design/build - Instrumentation design, procurement, installation and testing - Solar solutions for remote sites - Instrument maintenance and upgrades - Data logger programming and installation from quality providers such as Campbell Scientific - FAA lighting for towers and turbines
