Dave Solan is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Renewable Power in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). Dave is a leader in developing and communicating energy, environmental, and R&D policy. He draws from his executive branch experience in the Department of Energy (DOE) as the acting Executive Director and Principal Deputy Director of the Office of Policy and as a senior policy advisor at the Environmental Protection Agency, Board Member at a DOE National Laboratory, advisory council member for an investor-owned utility, Legislative Director and committee staffer in Congress, and an executive at a multi-institutional research and education consortium. He has extensive experience across the energy technology spectrum (renewables, natural gas, oil, nuclear, energy efficiency, grid).
