3D Printing for Manufacturers: Opportunities for Implementing Additive Technologies (2nd Session) (Room Show Floor, Sessions Corner)

01 Nov 18
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Today, 3D printers are a common sight in R&D facilities, toolrooms, and on the factory floor itself.

Rather than a replacement for traditional manufacturing processes like milling, stamping, or injection molding, 3D printing typically acts as a complementary technology. Additive technologies allow manufacturers to move faster, tighten up supply chains, and be more nimble in adjusting to the complex manufacturing, sourcing, and logistics challenges they face.

We will look at a handful of real-world use cases for 3D printing in manufacturing today and how they are transforming the way factory work gets done, from design to production.
