Eastern Energy Expo 2019

Keynote: FutureFuel: What the oil heating industry needs to do now to keep it viable in the future (Room Empire)

Regardless of what happens on climate change policy in Washington D.C., governors throughout the country are rapidly moving to implement policies requiring zero carbon fuels in the next few years. Carbon taxes and heat pumps are their answer. In addition, the province of Quebec is prohibiting the installation of burners that do not run on renewable fuel by 2023 and requiring the removal of all burners that do not run on a renewable fuel by 2028.

As a fuel supplier you are right to be concerned, but you do not have to feel defeated. From a net-zero carbon liquid fuel to advanced liquid fuel fired heat pumps, the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) is developing the fuel and equipment that meet these demands.
