Eastern Energy Expo 2019

Change Management for Energy Companies (Room Magnolia)

The pace of change in the energy industry is accelerating rapidly. The companies that will survive and thrive are those who are successful at accepting and adapting to the new realities of fuel marketing. The choice is simple:  Help to make the future or get left behind.

Bob Williamson, Moyer Indoor/Outdoor, will discuss the transformation which is impacting all aspects of the industry, from product and service mix, to delivery systems, to marketing, to managing human assets. Bob will provide actionable tips on how to take control of your own destiny by looking beyond traditional business practices to embrace diversification, expand services, and transitioning to a “home services” business model.

One of the biggest challenges to future success is adapting to an evolving workforce. The Millennial generation that makes up the largest single age group of American workers presents unique challenges - and tremendous opportunities - for energy companies who successfully attract this energetic class of employees.  Marty Kirshner and Meagan Hall of the accounting and consulting firm of Gray, Gray & Gray have firsthand knowledge of what Millennials want and expect – they are both members of this important group. They will examine ways companies can tap into the enormous potential of the younger generation, and what is required to harness the vitality of Millennials, with additional attention paid to the “”new wave” of company owners.

Attendees will walk away from this session with a sense of what lies ahead for the industry, and with a better understanding of the generation that is the future of the fuel oil and propane workforce.
