The use of laser and light based therapy for skin care dates back to the 1970s, but luckily, laser
and light treatments in 2018 are both safer and more effective than their earlier counterparts.
There are now over 25 FDA approved laser and light based platforms for treatment of the aging face.This presentation will chronicle the evolution of intense pulsed light through the last 30 years, and discuss the advances in laser therapy as well. We will then provide an individual platform evaluation, stating pros and cons for each existing FDA approved laser platform available today in the North American market.
