Dave Richards will provide an overview of Section 504 as a civil rights law and a complete picture of the Section 504 FAPE process. From child find to eligibility, to creation of the Section 504 plan to reevaluation, Dave will cover the gamut. He'll explain how 504 fits with regular and special education and illustrate best practices, emphasizing legal compliance. You'll also learn about discipline of students with disabilities, disability harassment, and equal participation in extracurricular and nonacademic services. Questions are encouraged.
