Administrators must intervene and address employee misconduct head on whether it be the failure to comply with employee policies and handbooks, implement and monitor IEPs and 504 plans, or comply with the law. While some issues can be addressed with training or formal improvement plans, others require more serious attention. Focusing on unique circumstances in special education, attorney Jocelyn Kramer will explain how to document and implement progressive discipline and when and how to terminate employees who fail to improve or engage in serious misconduct. She will also share proven techniques to prepare you for the next hearing or arbitration.
