Cable-Tec Expo 2018

Network Performance with New and Emerging Network Architectures (Room B405)

Evolving network architectures and technologies, such as Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) and  Full Duplex DOCSIS (FDX), provide different performance levels from their predecessors. In this workshop, Arris’ Ram Ranganathan presents detailed analysis of network performance characteristics versus core to node distances, for both Remote PHY and Remote MACPHY. Also: Cisco’s Tong Liu characterizes how FDX spectrum resource scheduling differs from legacy DOCSIS, and the tradeoffs in terms of throughput, latency and reliability.
