CBRS Use Cases for Cable (Room B407)

This session examines use cases for the 3.5 GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service in cable, by way of wireless small cells for public safety/neighborhood watch, offloading for MNOs as neutral host operators, and supporting emerging IoT services. Momentum Telecom's Scott Helms describes a potential way to use CBRS spectrum to augment FirstNet coverage area and provide MSOs a new revenue stream, which doesn’t require a license and currently covers 80 MHz of spectrum. Next, Arris’ Mehmet Yavuz details the work on CBRS in multiple sectors from Private LTE to IIoT applications, as operators are building out these solutions.
